Introduction to segmentation

Segmentation helps you organize customers into groups based on their behaviors, preferences, and characteristics. This allows you to create more personalized and relevant marketing strategies, improving engagement, loyalty, and conversion rates.

In OptiKPI, the Audience module is a standalone feature designed to help you manage and track customer segments that may not require immediate engagement. You can use it to save frequently used customer groups for analysis or future campaigns, even if you’re not planning to send them messages or trigger workflows right away.

It’s important to note that you don’t need to create an audience first to build campaigns or workflows. OptiKPI allows you to:

  • Create audiences directly within the campaign or workflow creation process, or
  • Set event-based triggers to engage customers without predefined segments.

This flexibility means you can engage customers in real-time or through dynamic conditions, without being tied to pre-existing audience lists.

Benefits of Creating Targeted Audience Segments:

  • Relevance: Tailor messages to specific customer interests, increasing engagement.
  • Better Customer Experience: Personalize interactions based on group behavior.
  • Efficient Resource Use: Focus on the most profitable or active customer segments.
  • Higher ROI: Targeted campaigns typically yield better results.
  • Informed Decisions: Track segment performance to guide future strategies.

This chapter will show you how to effectively segment your audience using OptiKPI’s tools, whether for immediate campaigns or long-term analysis.
